1505 Elm

1957; 2003

1505 Elm is an International Style building that opened in 1957 as the home of Dallas Federal Savings.  For quite some time, this building sat vacant, but was owned by the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce.  In 2001, the building was sold to Lazarus Property Corp.  Since that time, Lazarus has been converting the building into residential condominiums.  The building is 16 stories, total of 155,000 square feet, and has been converted into 68 units ranging in size from 1,500 t0 2,500 square feet.  An adjacent five story, 250 car parking garage is attached to the building.  The architects that designed the $20 million renovation are Hodges & Associates, Merriman Associates, and Graphic Design Group. Julian P. Barry Co. was the general contractor for the building conversion.
