2121 Main
1922; 1983
This three story red brick building was originally constructed in 1922
as the Dallas Central Fire Station. In 1983, the building was
converted into an office building with the overhead doors replaced by
storefront. At the same time, three additional levels were built on
top of the building. In order to differentiate the new from the old,
the new floors were set back from the 1922 facade and are faced with glass
on the Main Street side. The remainder of the new construction uses
stucco for the exterior material. |
