Fairmont Hotel

Originally this structure was constructed as a high rise residential project with two towers.  It's original name was Carey Plaza.  While under construction, the project was stopped.  After sitting in the skyline unfinished, the Fairmont Hotel purchased the property and completed the building. This 24 story hotel was constructed in 1968 at the corner of Ross and Akard Streets.  The tallest tower is 308 feet high and ranks as Dallas' 48th tallest building.
