San Jacinto Tower
2121 San Jacinto - 1982
San Francisco Architect John Carl Warnecke with Beran & Shelmire
from Dallas designed this skyscraper to have three building slabs of
varying heights joined together to form one structure. Each of the
slabs are offset from the face of the other and all have chamfered
corners. It offers a little different form to the skyline of Dallas,
but it appears that the same form was used earlier in other U.S.
cities. The Embarcadero Center in San Francisco and some of the
buildings in the Peachtree Center in Atlanta have similar designs.
Building materials include pink granite and bronze glass. The
building is 456 feet tall and is 33 stories, making it the 20th tallest
building in Dallas. |
